Experience a Relaxed and Empowered Pregnancy

Pregnancy is a portal to motherhood.
Your pregnant body is not weak—in fact, it is extraordinarily strong.
Pregnancy just invites us to experience strength differently—not always as pushing harder, doing more, or achieving more, but as listening deeply, adapting, softening, trusting, and responding to a body that is changing every day.

There is strength in listening. Strength in adapting. Strength in knowing when to move and when to rest. Strength in allowing the body to change. And strength in trusting a process that can’t be controlled at every step.

Prenatal Yoga is a space to honor that strength—both on the days when you feel physically vibrant and on the days when you feel tired and achy.

Come connect with your body and your baby. Move, breathe, stretch, and strengthen in a way that is tuned in to this special time in your life. Prenatal yoga gives us a place to practice embodied awareness—to strengthen without disconnecting from ourselves and to prepare for birth while honoring the profound work your body is already doing.

Whether you’re new to yoga or adapting a longtime practice to your changing body, you don’t have to already know what to do. I’m here to support you as you move through the portal of pregnancy and toward motherhood—with practices that help you listen to your body, prepare for birth, and trust the wisdom and strength already within you.

Your body is doing sacred work.

No previous yoga experience is necessary. All stages of pregnancy are welcome.

Devoted Heart Prenatal
Come to move, breathe, open the body in preparation for labor & delivery, and simply to connect with other women.

Wednesday 5:45–6:45 PM
Sunday 9:00–10:00 AM
with Lauren Hemley and friends

Each class is designed around the women in the room and the particular needs of their changing bodies. We’ll move and strengthen, breathe and stretch, create space in the body, and explore practices that support you through pregnancy and in preparation for labor and delivery.

The vibe is not that of a workout class—although we will move with the breath, build strength, stretch, and you may encounter a pose that challenges you physically.

The class is less about pushing your body or achieving something with it, and more about using movement to promote alignment, connection, integration, and relaxation.

This is also a place to simply be pregnant—to connect with your body and your baby, connect with other women, and take time to listen inward during a period of profound change.

Hands-on assists are offered to support useful movement and alignment, and every class concludes with supported relaxation.

No previous yoga experience necessary. All stages of pregnancy welcome.

Move & Strengthen

Move with the breath, stretch, and build strength in ways that are responsive to pregnancy and the changing needs of your body. You may encounter poses that challenge you physically, but physical achievement is never the goal.

Breathe & Create Space

Use breath and mindful movement to create space, cultivate awareness, and explore tools that can support you during pregnancy, labor, and birth.

Connect with Your Baby

Create intentional time away from the demands of everyday life to turn your awareness inward and connect with the life growing within you.

Find Community

Practice alongside other moms-to-be who are moving through their own versions of this profound transition.

Relax & Integrate

Use movement as a way to settle into your body rather than push past it—supporting relaxation, connection, and a sense of integration.

Listen to Your Body

Learn to notice what your body is communicating and adapt your practice accordingly rather than pushing toward an external idea of what your practice “should” look like.

Rest & Receive

Every class includes supported relaxation—an opportunity to practice doing less, receiving support, and allowing yourself to rest.

— Meet Lauren

Lauren Hemley

I’ve been teaching yoga since 2013 and supporting women through pregnancy has become a deeply meaningful part of my work since 2015.

I completed my prenatal yoga training with Juliana Mitchell of Living Now Yoga and have studied extensively with Alison West in alignment yoga and yoga for back care and scoliosis.

My approach to prenatal yoga combines movement, alignment, breath, relaxation, and body awareness with something that can’t quite be reduced to anatomy or technique: respect for the profound transition that is taking place.

Pregnancy is not simply a physical condition that requires modifications to a regular yoga class. It is a threshold—a transition into motherhood that deserves its own kind of practice and support.

I’m here to support you on that journey.

— Private Prenatal Yoga

Individualized Support for Your Journey, on Your Schedule.

Every pregnancy is different.

Private prenatal yoga gives us the opportunity to create a practice around your body, your pregnancy, your experience, and your needs.

We can work together to adapt your existing yoga practice, explore movement and breath for pregnancy and birth preparation, address areas that need additional attention, or simply create a dedicated space for you to connect with yourself and your baby.

Sessions are available in my home studio on 8th St, in your home, or virtually on Zoom, based on availability
